Lemon Law

Wyoming Lemon Law Mileage Offset: What It Means for Your Refund

Wyoming Lemon Law also allows a reasonable allowance for use.

Wyoming Mileage Deduction Formula

Wyoming typically uses:

(Miles at first repair attempt ÷ 100,000 or 120,000 depending on statutory interpretation) × Purchase price

Most calculations commonly use 100,000 or 120,000 depending on case specifics.

Wyoming Example (Using 100,000)

Vehicle price: $40,000
First repair: 3,000 miles

3,000 ÷ 100,000 = 0.03
0.03 × $40,000 = $1,200

Wyoming Key Notes

  • Applies to new vehicles under manufacturer warranty.
  • Requires reasonable repair attempts.
  • Offset is based on early mileage, not total mileage at buyback.
