    Job Title: Debt Defense Assistant Manager
    Location: Remote
    Job Type: 25-35 hours/wk

    Role Overview

    The Debt Defense Assistant Manager will play a critical role in overseeing daily operations of our Debt Defense team, coordinating case assignments, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring smooth communication between attorneys, clients, and staff. This role requires strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and support the Debt Defense team’s daily activities, ensuring cases progress efficiently.

    • Oversee case calendaring, monitor deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules and internal timelines.

    • Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to maintain smooth workflows.

    • Communicate with clients to provide updates, gather documentation, and answer procedural questions.

    • Identify process improvements to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.

    • Assist with training and onboarding new team members.

    • Generate status reports and communicate case progress to management.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience in legal operations, litigation support, or case management (experience in debt defense, foreclosure, or consumer law preferred).

    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to handle multiple deadlines.

    • Knowledge of legal terminology, litigation process, and court rules.

    • Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Detail-oriented and solutions-driven, with a client-first mindset.

    Role Overview

    The Legal Plans Coordinator will serve as the main point of contact between our firm, legal plan providers, and clients. This role is essential to ensuring that all legal plan matters are opened, tracked, and processed accurately and that clients receive timely updates on their cases. The ideal candidate is highly organized, client-focused, and excels at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as liaison between the firm and legal plan providers, handling case intake and assignment.

    • Review and process new legal plan matters, ensuring all required documentation is complete.

    • Track and update case statuses, maintaining accuracy within case management software.

    • Communicate with clients to confirm coverage, provide updates, and answer procedural questions.

    • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure smooth handling of plan cases.

    • Monitor billing and reporting requirements for legal plan matters to ensure compliance.

    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance client experience.

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience in legal administration, case coordination, or client services and/or experience with legal plans is a plus

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a client-first approach.

    • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    • Familiarity with case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
